Thank you for stopping by!

It's almost Valentine's Day and my wish for you is that you find a way to express healthy self love this year. Take a look around your home and work environments. Do you feel nurtured and supported or is the landscape a bit crazy making? If it's the latter, don't feel bad rather feel empowered. Why? Because as the person who created the current reality, YOU are in charge of creating something better in its place.

The best area to begin your quest for order is your bedroom. I don't like to see toys, elecronic equipment or a library's worth of books here. This room is for deep sleep and ... fun! Ask your children to return their toys to their rooms or the play room/ family room when they leave. If you can't live without a TV, put it in a cabinet so you can at least close the door on it when you aren't watching. And put your books on a bookcase. They are inexpensive to find and can be a wonderful place to display artifacts that are dear to you like family photos in addition to all your books. Consider donating paperbacks to a library, nursing home or pass them on to a friend when you are done. You can also swap them with others on line.

If the office is your worst nightmare, take this month to whip it into shape. Start with a speed elimination. Give yourself 15 minutes and move as fast as you can. Now is the time to toss/recycle/shred old newspapapers, magazines, invitations to parties that have passed, sales you missed and receipts that are for miscellaneous purchases. This exercise will get the ball of change rolling.

If the world of your finances is in chaos, you must have a budget. It's not meant to be a punishment. It's a tool that will enable you to save for a rainy day, a new home or car, investments and even your retirement. How much do you make? How much are you spending? Basic questions most people don't answer correctly. It's the little expenses that will do you in by the way. How many designer cups of coffee do you buy in a week? Use a thermos from home and stop in once a week as a treat rather than a daily ritual. Just as money slips through our fingers all too easily, we can reverse the process. What could be sexier than watching your finances grow!

I have detailed instructions in all of my books that will guide you from chaos to order. Don't work all the books at once. Start with the one you need most and build your organizing muscle over time! As you gain experience, you will also gain speed. You will also be building your self esteem and saving time, money and energy.
