A New Day Dawns

I have spent the past year recovering from a freak accident I had on August 25, 2016.  It has been the roughest, most challenging year of my life.  When the various health professionals asked: "What is your goal?" my answer was always the same.  I want to be me again.  I achieved my goal.  And here are some things I learned:

Every day life can be a pain in the ass but I would much rather downsize, organize, unpack or shop at The Container Store than have to learn how to walk again.  Take nothing for granted. Life can change in a literal instant.

I've been on the spiritual path as long as I can remember.  This journey reminded me that my spiritual practices give me tools that inform every aspect of my life.  Mindfulness moved from a meditation practice to a way to heal and help others get organized.  I'll be writing more about that over the course of the next year hopefully in a new book.

And now let's turn our attention to the coming busy months and prepare together to have a spectacular holiday season. It's great to be back!
