I've written 10 books on various aspects of getting organized. My favorites are listed here for your perusal. Book number 10 is called Rightsize! Right Now! and will help anyone live happily with less and get ready for a move in just 8 weeks.   I downsized a few years ago from 1200 sq. ft. to 700 so that I could live with a puppy who captured my heart. I gave up furniture and possessions I thought I'd have forever for the love of a dog. And no, I don't miss any of it. I take great delight imagining everything out in the world being loved by others and repurposed in whatever way they feel is right for them.  We are not our stuff. As we grow and change in life so should our physical environments otherwise we're stagnating and that's never an attractive option.
